Reviews policy
How reviews reach this site, what we publish and how to ask for a review or photo to be removed.
Who can review
Anyone can leave a review, on a product page or through the review request emailed after an order. A review we can match to an order shows a verified-buyer badge; any other review is shown as unverified. We publish every rating, high or low.
Labels
A review from an Opulence partner is labelled “Opulence partner”, from our team “Opulence staff”, and from someone who received the product free “Received free product”. The people who run Opulence never write reviews.
When reviews appear
A person checks every review before it’s published. We decide on waiting reviews twice a week, so a review never waits long.
Review photos
Photos you add to a review are shown with that review on this site only. We never reuse them in marketing.
Asking for a removal
To ask us to remove a review or photo, including one that shows you, contact us with the product and the reviewer’s name as shown.
Reactions
If a review mentions a possible reaction, we pass it to our team to follow up. The review is still published under the same rules as any other. To tell us about a reaction directly, use Report a reaction.
When we don’t publish a review
We withhold a review only for one of these reasons, and we apply them to every review whatever its rating:
- It contains trade secrets or private commercial or financial information.
- It is defamatory, harassing, abusive, obscene, vulgar or sexually explicit.
- It contains another person’s personal information or likeness and we can’t remove just that part.
- It is discriminatory about race, gender, sexuality, ethnicity or another intrinsic characteristic.
- It is clearly false or misleading.
- We reasonably believe it is fake.
- It has nothing to do with our products or this site.
